Ingredients
2 tbsps shortening or margarine
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup boiling water

Method
1) Cream together shortening/margarine and sugar.
2) Sieve together flour, baking powder & salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternatively with half cup of milk.
3) Fold in half cup of chopped nuts. Put batter into ungreased 9 inch baking pan.
4) Mix together brown sugar, cocoa & salt. Sprinkle over top of batter. Do not stir. Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water over all. Bake at 350 ^o F/ 180 ^o C for 40-45 mins. Best served warm with whipped cream or Ice cream.
