Bananas Foster Syrup
Ingredients: 1/4 th cup butter or margarine 2/3 rd cup packed brown sugar 1 tbsp creme de banana liquer (optional) 2 medium bananas sliced 2 tbsps rum (optional) Ground cinnamon Method: In large skillet melt butter or margarine over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and banana liqueur, if desired. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves. Add bananas and rum, if desired. Cook until mixture is bubbly, stirring gently. Serve immediately over Pancake or ice cream. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Apple Juice Syrup
Ingredients: 1 cup granulated sugar 2 tbsps cornstarch 1/4 th tsp cinnamon 1/4 th tsp nutmeg 2 cups apple juice 2 tbsps lemon juice 1/2 cup butter Method: Mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan. Stir in apple juice and lemon juice. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for one minute. Blend in butter. Serve warm over apple pancakes. Top with sour cream. Spiced Syrup Ingredients: 2 tbsps brown sugar 2 tbsps granulated sugar 1 tbsp cornstarch Dash of ground allspice Dash of ground nutmeg 1/4 th cup corn syrup 3/4 th cup orange juice Method: In a small saucepan combine brown sugar, sugar, cornstarch, allspice and nutmeg, mixing well. Stir in corn syrup and orange juice, mixing well. Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, about 10 minutes. Serve hot. May be refrigerated in covered container for several days. Fruity Pancake Syrup
Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup raspberries Apricot or strawberry preserves or orange marmalade Method: Melt margarine in a heavy saucepan.
