BUTTER ICING


Butter Icing


Ingredients

  • Icing sugar : 250 gms/ 8.8 oz
  • Butter : 100 gms/ 3.5 oz
  • Vanilla : a few drops
  • Milk: as desired


Method

Sieve icing sugar and keep aside. Cream butter. Gradually add the icing
sugar. Add vanilla. Add milk dependind on the consistency you want. If the icing
is too thick add a little milk to smoothen it.


Cocoa Icing



Ingredients

  • Icing sugar 170 gms/ 6 oz
  • Butter 90 gms/ 3.1 oz
  • Milk 4 tbsps
  • Cocoa 60 gms/ 2.1 oz
  • Castor sugar 120 gms/ 4.23 oz
  • Vanilla 1/2 tsp


Method

1) Sift sugar and cocoa into a bowl.

2) Put fat, castor sugar and milk into a pan and warm over low flame.

3) Pour over icing sugar mixture and stir till it coats the back of the spoon.
Cool and use icing as desired.
