INGREDIENTS : Nachni (Ragi) : 1 cup Wheat (unfloured) : 1 tsp Wheat Jaggery : 1-1/4th Cups Salt : 3/4 th teaspoon Cardamom : 1/2 teaspoon Cashew Nuts : 2 tablespoons Milk : 1-3/4th Cup METHOD : 1. Take one big cup Nachni. Soak with 1 teaspoon wheat overnight. 2. Next day grind both with water in a mixer. Extract the milk using a fine sieve or cloth so that you get 4 -3/4th Cups juice. 3. Boil it over in a thick bottomed pan. Then reduce the heat and add jaggery and salt. You have to stir continuously or else the mixture will stick to the bottom of the pan. 4. Add milk and also cashewnuts. Stir continuously for 25-30 minutes, till mixture is of a thick consistency and there is a shiny coating on the mixture. 5. Add Cardamom powder. Mix. Pour in a greased thali. Cool till set. Cut into squares. Refrigerate.
