CASHEW KATLI



Ingredients
100 gms/ 3.53 ounces cashew nuts
80 gms/ 2.82 ounces  powdered sugar
1 tsp corn flour
1/3 tsp rose essence

Method
1) Soak cashew nuts in water for 1-2 hours. Drain & grind them to a fine paste, using water if required.
2) Mix together sugar & cashew paste. Cook in a pan on a medium flame.
3) When the mixture thickens, reduce the flame & keep stirring. When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, sprinkle cornflour. Stir well & remove from fire immediately.
4) Mix in the rose essence & quickly turn onto a marble or wooden surface.
5) Roll thinly with a greased roller. Spread the silver sheet over & cut into diamond shaped katlis
