APPLE CRUMBLE
* 5 tart apples, such as Granny Smith, peeled, cored and sliced thin * 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice * 1/2 cup granulated sugar * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 2 teaspoons grated orange zest * 1 1/2 cups Kroger 100% Natural Cereal With Raisins * 1/2 cup flour * 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar * 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter * Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon and orange zest in a large bowl. Mix gently. Place the apple mixture in a 9-inch baking dish. Mix together the cereal, flour and brown sugar. Cut in the butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender until crumbly. Top the apples with the cereal mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apple mixture bubbly. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Inez Fulgham sent this recipe for an old-fashioned classic - Apple Crumble. You can substitute a combination of frozen raspberries and blackberries (about 5 cups total) for the apples, or many other fruits, too.
