Mango Burfee


INGREDIENTS :

Mango Juice : 1 1/4 th Cup
Sugar : 1 cup
Water : 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder : 1/2 tsp
Saffron : 1/2 tsp
Cornflour : 1/2 tbsp
Dry nuts for garnishing

METHOD :


1. Boil Sugar and water and make a syrup.
2. In another container, remove the pulp of mangoes and pass it through a sieve, so as to get 1 1/4th Cup juice. Mix with cornflour. Boil it till thick.
3. Add the thickened juice to the sugar syrup and cook for some time, till thick.
4. Add saffron and cardamom powder. Pour onto a greased plate. Garnish with nuts. Cut into squares when cool.
