Ingredients Bread cubes : 3 cups (3-4 medium slices) Milk : 2 cups Caramel/ brown Sugar : 1 / 2 cup Eggs : 2 nos. Cardamom/Nutmeg powder : 1 tsp Vanilla : 1 tsp Margarine / Butter : 1/4th cup Raisins: 1/4th cup Method 1. Beat the eggs well keep aside. 2. In a vessel, boil the milk, take it off the heat. Add the margarine and bread cubes (trimmed at the ends and cut into small squares) Mix. 3. Add the sugar, raisins, vanilla and spice powder to the beaten eggs. Mix well. Add to the milk mixture. Keep in oven for 35- 45 minutes at 180oC/ 350 o F or till set & nicely brown. Serve. Variation: You may use croissants instead of sliced bread Or add peeled and chopped apple or banana to it.
