How to make icing



ROYAL ICING

Icing Sugar : 450 g

Lime (Juice) : 1 tbsp

Egg White : 2

Colour : a few drops

Method :

Sieve icing sugar and keep aside. Beat the egg whites slightly. Add lime juice. Add sugar gradually beating all the time. Beat until the icing is beatable but of a stiff consistency. Add few drops colour to the required portion, dividing the portions as per requirements Pour this icing on top of the cake. Use a palette knife to smoothen. Decorate the cake by using the nozzle.

GLAZE ICING

INGREDIENTS :

ICING SUGAR : 150 gms
COCOA : 10 gms
WATER : A little
BUTTER : A small blob
CASHEW NUTS/ NUTS OF YOUR CHOICE : 50 gms


METHOD :

Sieve icing sugar, cocoa powder together. Add very little water and stir it. Keep on the gas and make it hot. Add a small blot of fat. Remove from the fire. Pour the icing sugar on the cake. Spread over it with a palette knife. Sprinkle chopped nuts over it.
